the suppers we took on the ferry between Kobe and Kyushu.
My fugu lunch in Shimonoseki city.
From top, they are fugusashi(sashimi of fillet), yubiki(boiled fugu skin), and fugu no karaagé(fried fugu).
soba, buckwheat noodle lunch yesterday!
the top is *kamo* which usually means duck meat topping(but this one was chicken), and the bottom is this restaurant’s original menu named *Kyo style*, as this restaurant is in Kyoto.
The white slices are steamed fish paste if you’re wondering what they are!
we visited Kyoto Uni. and had lunch at their gakushoku.
The word *gakushoku(学食）* stands for “gakusei（学生）=students” and “shokudo(食堂）=eating place”.
I like the atmosphere of being in a campus.
The top photo is fish fries, spicy tofu soup, miso soup, and brown rice.
The bottom is chicken-katsu, burdock roots salad, boiled spinach, miso soup, and white rice.
Look at the receipt very carefully. They automatically calculate the nutrient factors and the amount of calories. It says we ordered 2145kcal in all and it shocked me so much!!! darn. I hoped it was only April Fool but it was a fact! :0
cheese was my first try, because I usually make it Korean style,
but being influenced by tacos, I added cheese for topping option and it was so good;)
